The Craig M. Lewis Scholarship Fund honors
the September 5, 2008 passing of Craig M. Lewis, WSSEF Board
Member. The scholarship fund continues Craig's commitment to the
WSSEF and shares his vision of offering the opportunity to all
Washington students to pursue science and engineering
endeavors.
Over $3,500 in scholarships from the Craig
M. Lewis Scholarship Fund have already been given out to
deserving students for their future education.
Craig was a staunch supporter of the WSSEF
(picture above shows Craig judging a student; Craig is wearing
the blue shirt), so much so that he became a WSSEF Board Member.
Craig was an active, vibrant member of the WSSEF Board ... and
he will be missed.
During the Fair, Craig’s humor was
prevalent in the WSSEF judge’s area. Craig recruited many judges
from The Boeing Company. His commitment was shown again when he
flew from China to especially attend WSSEF. Jet lag did not
diminish his dedication to the kids, their presentations and the
importance he placed on giving them his undivided attention. In
his honor, please consider judging at the WSSEF.
Craig Lewis was a "great" man, and he was a "great" supporter
of the WSSEF. In his memory, Wendy Lewis and family have founded
the Craig M. Lewis Scholarship Fund. Craig will be "greatly"
missed by all of us. Your donation towards the Craig M. Lewis
Scholarship Fund is "greatly" appreciated.
