Our next generation of successful
scientists and engineers is in your hands!
Students across the state of Washington
are making amazing discoveries enhancing the world around
us. The Washington State Science and Engineering Fair provides
these remarkable students a forum to showcase their work and
earn more than $1,000,000 in scholarships, opportunities and
prizes.
Former highlights include our top
Washington State Science and Engineering Fair students earning
over $12,000 in prize money at the Intel International Science
and Engineering Fair. In 2009, a Washington State student earned
“Best in the World ~ Earth & Planetary Sciences” and a trip to
CERN Large Hadron Collider in Switzerland.
Washington State Science and Engineering
Fair is an all-volunteer organization that depends on generous
donations to host the annual fair.
Please help “Promote Future
Scientists and Engineers” by donating to the Washington Science
and Engineering Fair.

Why Choose Whitman?
A Place Apart
Whitman College —
www.whitman.edu — is
not just a college where curious minds thrive in their
pursuit of knowledge. It is a place that offers a
perfect balance of natural beauty, history, and all the
modern comforts you would expect. One of the nation’s
premier liberal arts colleges, Whitman is in a location
ideal for intellectual reflection and contemplation. It
is a place where landscaped pathways (as well as modern
technologies) seamlessly connect historic buildings of
timeless beauty to cutting-edge computer and science
labs and athletic facilities, or a new 24-hour health
care facility that offers free services to students, or
a comprehensive library that stays open 24/7 during the
academic year. Above all, it is a vibrant, close-knit,
residential community where — from academics to
athletics and dynamic student clubs — people
collaborate, support, and connect with one another in
powerful ways. In fact, about 75 percent of Whitman’s
1,450 students live on campus, where they find a
liberating, diverse environment rich in ideas,
personality, and perspective.
